Excellent...loved the setting ..the story, and the performances of all the cast...3 thumbs up!

I love her spunk, and her zest for life, despite the many ups and downs of her life, including her previous heartbreak with her fiance. She has such a wonderful bunch of loyal, if zany friends, and her deep and abiding love for her animals, as well as her parents and her brother are things I know we can all relate to as well. I loved her adventures last summer with her parents and best friends up in Maine, and the intrigue of the mysterious Frenchman....who did try , and who ultimately failed to join her group , due to Covid and visa restrictions. It was wonderful to see this budding romance, and I wish her every happiness going forward. She is authentic, she is a trail blazer and she is the best . We need more courageous , independent thinkers like her...with enough love to make this a much better world. Thank you, Whitney...we love you too. And your parents and brother too...they are what family should really be. Can't wait to see you again...soon. And Happy Birthday in advance...hope that all your dreams are coming true now.

This series is a real "shot in the arm" for all of us living in an altered universe so full of doom and gloom. Randy and his team of hardy, cheerful Brigus individuals are amazing. I started watching this very different "home builder" out of curiosity at first...and then quickly became its biggest fan. I look forward to every new episode with eager anticipation, because I know I will see something unique, and come away with uplifted spirits and a renewed appreciation of that wonderfully genuine and generous Newfoundland spirit. Randy is authentic, as is the rugged landscape he calls home. He may be a "terd" generation builder, but he is much more than this...he embodies the best of us....as Canadians, and as 'true north" spirits. We love you , Randy....all of your gang too...even your "old man" ...and your entire family. Keep up the great work...and thank you for bringing the sun back.! Rachel Bailie...Oshawa, Ontario...

Very engaging, funny, insightful and great to see a snapshot in time that brings back so many memories. ..the music, the cars, the clothes, and the morality of the times is spot on. Cher is her quirky, unforgettable single mother Rachel Flax. Her performance is authentic, and the chemistry between her and Bob Hoskins is so real that it seems effortless. I loved the music, and remember the time so well...and Wynona as Charlotte, the disaffected, sometime delusional teenage daughter is just as real. kate , the younger daughter is the comic relief , and is magic. This is a film not to be missed. ...very thought-provoking, and so identifiable for those of us who were there, then....an unforgettable down memory lane.

This is a dark look at a time in England's history that in today's world has some curiosity value. However, to have to sit and watch the self-indulgent , cruel and dangerous manipulations of women trying desperately to survive this moral and physically dangerous time is really shocking. ...and in my opinion as "entertainment" is vastly overrated. I was not attracted to this tale of intrigue and moral decay at all...despite some very good performances....NOT worth the money, at the end of the day. I am sure it is viewed as an "artistic triumph" among the "artsy " world. For the rest of the viewing public it is a colossal time waster. Too dark, and too depressing for words..to see how women had to betray each other to survive. Awful...no other word for it.
