Sam Rockwell and Taraji P. Henson turn in fine performances recreating adversaries in the civil rights struggles of just a few decades ago.
A frumped up Henson is immediately believable as the local black activist right down to her thick southern accent while Rockwell on the other hand takes a bit of time to accept.
But as the movie moves on Rockwell's crisis of conscience adds depth to his character which builds until the final payoff in the closing moments of the movie.
I strongly recommend this movie and I am a bit surprised that the overall ratings are not much stronger than they are.
