It's a standard thriller. Pretty unrealistic in it's medicines and injuries(mostly plot armor) so be prepared to suspend your beliefs. Pretty mediocre plot for an R-rated film but I didn't Hate it. Wouldn't recommend it tbh

Lot to say about this movie. I have watched a lot of horror movies and this one isnt a favorite. I, personally, didnt like it. It was silly, the plot wasnt clear, and it's just scares from the beginning w/out any breaks. I tried to read positive reviews I really did, but they were either incredibly pompous or I just flat out disagreed. There are so many issues I had w/ this movie but I'm not going to bore readers here. A lot of what the trailer made the movie to be wasnt what was provided. The article I read about this movie said it was based on a novella from 1898, and I thought that was a little silly. I have to read a 120 y/o book to understand this movie? No thanks. Now, I gave this 2 stars b/c it was a beautiful movie. Great colors, great house, AND great acting w/ what they had. Also check out the soundtrack for this movie, it was good but not used in the film it was for. Much to my dismay.
