A lot of irony in this movie. First, paints tech giants as evil and fearsome, yet it was produced by another tech/media giant, Netflix. Second, while uncovering fear-based tactics of political campaigns, it uses the same tactics to instill fear of tech/social media and how the tech is a danger to democracy. Third, the proposed solution to the privacy problem is: for "good" government to regulate "bad" tech, like the Big Brother is the most reliable partner to fight for my privacy, right? Fourth, Netflix being a tech company, it could have donated some tech expertise to edit obvious blunders like "I was part of the team running Obama's Facebook. We invented the way the social media is used to communicate with photos".
Still, if you can filter out one-sidedness, fear-mongering and ignorance, there are some useful insights on how the political campaigns and advocacy work.
