Didn’t particularly enjoy it.
Stereotype of every country other than America. (French person - very sensual, deep, and walks in carrying freshly made baguettes on her entrance. This base level thought of character rings through the series)
The lead character lacked any sense of difference in emotion from scene to scene.
You could argue it was subtle but I didn’t buy it. More needs to be going on inside.
That being said, Isla Johnston Played the younger version of the lead very well, subtle, but so much going on inside.
The episodes are made without fully giving enough time for the audience to feel issues progressing or resolving. They are sort of just thrown in quickly in a very quick stylish montage. Cheap.
Really wanted to enjoy this series as from the read up, it’s got all the components, however, due to the final product, it’s just an average overly stylish show.
