The series starts off great. I loved the set up of the plot in the beginning.
It started slow but intensely. We don't quite know what's about to happen, but we can certainly feel it.
The wait, although good, doesn't pay off! I did not like this series beyond the point where Riley dies, every single scene and every episode is pointless after that. I would highly recommend reading a summary from that point on, perhaps even the episode titles should suffice - "The Acts of the Apostles", "Revelation." Oh well. Everyone goes nuts and that's about it. A couple of people survive, doesn't matter.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the lengthy sermons which ran on for minutes. They did not serve any purpose in the plot or the character's development. Also, let's just collectively forget about the loopholes; this series can never be redeemed if we dig into that.
Overall - not worth the watch. If you really want to, watch the first 4 or 5 episodes and skip through the rest of it. You'll get the general idea.
