Season one was fun, light, and entertaining. It went downhill in season 2. It went from being light and funny to silly to just plain stupid. What was Julie Styles' crazy drunken jumping around and screaming about during a party, it didn't fit the story or her character. The runaway groom story was lame. Then good girl, smart intelligent, great prospects, fantastic job waiting for her, becomes a tree planter and isn't very good at it. She has sex with a brother and sister tree planters and becomes confused. When the two come to see Billie Justin is running back and forth between the house and the cottage like a maniac trying to protect the siblings from finding out that Billie is getting it on with both of them. That was just ridiculous and when I stopped watching.

Exciting, interesting, fresh storyline. Excellent acting, Caitriona Balfe, Tobias Menzies and Sam Heughan portray their characters so well that you will fall in love with them, well maybe not Tobias Menzies' character, he is the quintessential evil villain and terrifying. The scenery is breathtaking, the photography is excellent. The costumes are gorgeous. There is lots of raunchy sex, swashbuckling adventure, magical fantasy, and romance I love it!
