While I've found the show generally very informative and well-researched, I wish Michael didn't go out of his way to highlight the Victorian element of the innovations. "Victorian" refers to a time period, not an engineering philosophy, business ideal, or political movement. These important innovations occurred under their own pull of gravity, it's merely coincidental that they occurred during Queen Victoria's reign. Indeed, Queen Victoria is lucky that she became Queen during the period these innovations happened, because otherwise, her mere ascension to the throne would not have been enough to summon the Universe's creative collective to bring the innovations forward.
I hope they can review this for any upcoming season, it's rather annoying to be enjoying the show, and bam! Michael, who obviously admires Queen Victoria a great deal, hits you with some awkward insistence on how Queen Victoria somehow willed the innovations to happen.
