I'm completely baffled that people liked this movie. It's not a remake apparently, since they mention the original a few times. However, and first and foremost... There is absolutely zero character development. Now due to cancel culture, you can't have actual villains?? Apparently, since it's a children, fair enough. SPOILER: the villains are two parents that are in financial trouble...who honestly did not make me laugh once. And when it gets to the part we're they try to get in the house...its not funny and it's the only time you feel bad for any of the characters. Overall it lacks heart. But to each, it's own, watch it and judge for yourself. I'll continue to watch the classic Home Alone movie with my family every christmas....... But I'll never watch this movie again.
