Because there is no zero star rating available.... There was nothing in the film which deserves one star...it was like a dish where all ingredients irrespective of their quality/requirement were put in and it became absolutely unpalatable...the plot was weak, characters were too many, dialogues were archaic...songs were terrible (specially the lyrics)....Mimi was a complete waste...it is sad that we still resort to objectifying women to lure people....having to sit through it for 3 hours was really painful....very very disappointed!!

It is engaging...acting is superb....a few loose ends here and there can be ignored...what I really hated about the series was the misuse of Tagore's song 'Momo chitte'....it was a really cheap and mindless.

As bad as it can get...storyline, direction, editing 👎so many loopholes, loose ends, too many characters but we don't know who, how, why, what of any and so on...

The movie shows how deeply patriarchy and gender bias are ingrained in the minds of people irrespective of their social/ financial status and their educational qualification. Patriarchy is not overt in most cases, specially among upper middle classes - men don't need to be physically or verbally abusive to practice patriarchy - they can do so by way of making affectionate yet unreasonable demands, subtle sarcasm and later laughing it off as a joke, justifying their regressive and oppressive thoughts and actions as being good for all and so on. This film reinforces yet again that your importance in society is determined by the money you earn - it doesn't matter if you are working like a slave at home to make your family members happy. Educated men are will marry qualified women but will not allow them to have a job or earn their own money. It stems from the deep seated insecurity of losing control over women and of the fear that women might outshine men. This film also addressed the issue of marital rape - women have no right to say NO nor are they allowed to have any desire. The worst part of this societal picture is that women play an active role in ensuring that this practice runs through generations. Women need to stand up for themselves and also for other women. All the characters have done justice to their roles. Dialogues were few but when actors are powerful, few is better. The relevance of the film in social context cannot be denied.

The movie length is around 2hrs 20 mins...of which song-dance sequences took up 20 mins and fight sequences ate up a major part of the remaining 2 hrs. There are innumerable loose ends, juvenile plot and loud background score without any break. I assumed Dev is now into more sensible movies and this is likely to be one....should have at least checked the trailer:(

Disappointing... regressive dialogues...pictures women in very bad light ...could have conveyed the message differently.

That a criminal decides to turn into a new leaf and become a police officer is fine. Even though the nature vs. nurture debate continues , it is difficult to believe that a person who's been cold blooded, hardcore , severely brutal criminal till the age of 15-16, becomes a soft natured educated , monogamous person and not once any of his earlier traits surface. He doesn't even become a brutal police officer. The movie seemed a little forced , like there had to be a twist.
