I love Stephen King and so was eager to read this but I hate to say it, I was disappointed. With King books, I always get such an in-depth feel for the characters that I know exactly what they look like and sound like but with this book I struggled. I struggled with the endless number of characters. I struggled to form any sort of connection with the characters and I found the whole story… a bit weak really. Things just happened for no real reason and had no depth or meaning to them. To the point where I feel I must’ve missed a massive plot/sub-plot. I nearly stopped reading it halfway through but as it was King, I persevered. I wouldn’t recommend. Such a shame really. I hope that Owen King’s next book is better.
