Don't go in for a blockbuster experience and don't let the negative scores turn you away. Most of them are by people who went in for a blockbuster experience and couldn't sit and just immerse themselves in what is going on without getting overstimulated. This is a beautiful slow-burning film about a journey of a man through space that deserves way more appreciation. Brad Pitt's acting is amazing, the score is amazing, the visuals are amazing, I can't pick one thing about this film I dislike. This is just an all around amazing experience. This is not mass-cinema, but this is also not a snob-oriented film one would sit through just to brag about it and their endurance. You just have to let go of everything, then see and feel where the film takes you.
