Unfortunate. All the parts of a great movie are present, but they were weaved together as if done by a high school video club. Unneeded scenes wasted time that could have been better spent telling the story. It’s a mix of Blade Runner, Star Wars, Dune and a guest appearance by a hippogriff (Harry Potter). It’s one thing to be inspired by others’ work, but this movie is plagiarism at best and each stolen scene was degraded instead of improved. Disappointing.

Typical recycling of a classic brand with a poorly written story, over-worn and predictable plot. Saw it on Prime. Would have been upset if I’d paid for a theatre. And I really, really, really wanted to like this movie.

It’s nothing at all like I expected. The only connection to Batman was a reference to the Wayne family and Gotham. It could easily have been an independent psychological thriller. Highly recommended. If you’re expecting a DC anti-hero origin movie you will be disappointed.
