I've been a fan of the NFL for a long time but like other institutions it's unfortunately now more about politics. I'm a fan of diversity but I'm confused about the content of last show that aired where all I heard was complants about the lack of diversity in the NFL.
It used to be that lack of diversity was focused on black verses white players. Now since the NFL player roster is at 70% black verses 30% other I would assume that demand has been met. Now the focus has moved to black coaches and owners verses white coaches and owners. What is the goal?
Blacks make up app. 13% of the American population. True diversity happens when people of all races are equally represented in any business or sport. Unitl that happens, there will always be some level of what appears to be an inequality. So again I ask, what's the goal?
Football is a great American Industry that is enjoyed by millions. The nation is tired of the politics. We all would appreciate it it the hosts would focus on the game, the players and the fans and stop complaining about how the NFL is not being diverse "enough".
