You know it’s a good movie when at the end you feel like you could watch it all again right there and then. It struck the right balance between paying homage to the original concept and innovating, keeping the blood running through its veins fresh and current. I wish I hadn’t seen Rise of the Machines, Salvation and Genisys, and I didn’t have in mind Sam Worthington’s human machine hybrid, or Kristanna Loken’s female terminator, or Arnie’s elderly terminator in Genisys. If all that hadn’t happened then this film would have been even better. But then again, if not for those then perhaps this film wouldn’t have been made at all? We’ll never know! Special mention for Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor. Just. Friggin. Perfect.
