I've been following Cheap Old Houses on Instagram for a few years now, so I was so excited to see that they were getting a show on HGTV! This is not a renovation show, (finally!), Elizabeth and Ethan tour old homes and talk about the historical details and what would be required to renovate them, then at the end show a cheap old house that was renovated by fans of the page.
I'm so happy to see something BESIDES a renovation show on HGTV, since most of their shows seem to be that now. This is a show for people who appreciate older, historical architecture and love to see the care and time that went into creating houses in the past. If you remember "If Walls Could Talk" from the old days of HGTV, this show evokes very similar themes.
Elizabeth and Ethan are so knowledgable about these homes and I love seeing their enthusiasm at discovering the history still left behind in these homes. Thank you HGTV for giving us something beyond renovations!!
