In all honesty I was worried going into the movie after seeing so many reviews against it. But the second I started to see the way they conveyed the characters and the plot relating to the Monster Hunter Universe...man my heart wouldn’t stop racing. I loved every moment of the movie and found myself wanting so much more! Sure, if you aren’t a fan of the series or known enough about it, the movie can come off at a bad angle but this isn’t really for you. I remember countless nights grinding away at the game on my PSP, oh so many years ago. I still felt the adrenaline as I watched the protagonist gain exposure into the MH world, and while some of the training montage scenes did pull me out of the loop for bit, it also makes sense since the majority of us fans can recount the hours of playing and working on mastering our preferred arsenals. I would give this max 5/5 in hopes that we get a sequel diving further into the world and bringing both the childhood hunters and new hunters into the fray! I highly recommend this to any MH fans out there!
