I hate the movie, it is not at all book accurate. First of all, Charlie´s school life was not shown in the book, and his school life made the movie feel longer than it actually was. I also feel the teacher is not important to the story at all, so why add him in. He let all the kids go when that other kid told them about the golden ticket. I feel the writers made this movie more child-like for the kids. The candy man song was also unnecessary for the story. The guy trying to steel the secret Wonka recipe was not needed for the plot, which added time to the film. I also feel like the police should be on a look out, because if someone was trying to steel my secret recipe, I would want the police to look for the that guy. I think they added him for almost 30 minutes, then he is gone. They could have used that time to tell the two stories that grandpa Joe told in the book. The whole monologue was too scary, I got nightmares from that scene. His whole limping and then somersaulting was not very good. However, I love the song, ¨I want it now¨. I had hi hopes for this movie, but I was disappointed. I have to say, Tim Burton´s movie was better.
