I'll use some of the same words Simon uses to critique acts to describe this year's season of AGT. Horrendous, terrible, horrific, this years format is all of those and more. Words like unfair, unequal, ridiculous, come to mind due to great acts being cut that had a good chance of winning the show. Take Gabriella Laberge as an example. She wowed the judges and the audience, got 4 yesses AND a standing ovation from both the audience and the judges. The judges gave her great praise and Howie said during her performance, "Wow, I love this". What were the producers thinking when the arbitrarily sent some of the best acts on the show packing. The format always has been that the American people put contestants thru to the finals with their votes after the judges saw those that advanced perform twice. No judge cuts this year and no second performance from the best contestants. A travesty in my view.
