Let's just say, if you are a fan of Sonic Adventure 2 in any capacity, you will love this movie.

(Do Not Listen To The Critics On This One) I know I'm gonna sound like a 25 year old Mother of 2 on Facebook but I can't see what any of the critics are talking about, And I bet a lot of you are gonna be turned down from this movie just because of that. But Honestly, Watch this movies for yourself and see what you think, you might be surprised. And too fight back against said Critics, I will post a In depth review of Sonic the Hedgehog with no spoilers. I went to go see this with my best friend, having planned to go do so since the first trailer to go make fun of it, but I was honestly surprised to find quite the amazing movie behind these trailers. They obviously made changes to the story throughout the trailers and it shows from trailer to trailer but. (Plot of the Movie) The Sonic The Hedgehog, Film is a heartwarming story of Sonic chased into a world he doesn't know, so hes forced to work with a human partner while they try to escape the evil Robotnik (who is played by possibly the best choice to be Eggman). Though I know a lot of people are relating this to the Smurfs and Alvin and the chipmunks but I don't think its really all to fair, sure they...Okay..point taken but the Sonic movie finds a way to do it that's absolutely terrible and actually pretty cute. Even the voice of Sonic reminds me of his old voice from the Sonic Adventure times, which was a nice change from Roger Craig Smith. The voice this time was Ben Schwartz which was honestly an amazing actor to play Sonic! Roger Craig Smith never seemed too into the role himself, and it would have been a waste to hire him. He also never sounded too much like Sonic, well at least the Sonic that he was supposed to be. Roger Craig Smith Never fit the voice of the games, he seemed too bored with his lines that he could never give them a little more Umpf, seriously Sonic is supposed to be this 'Radical' Adventurous daredevil type and I could just imagine RCS doing my taxes. Ben Schwartz has a bit more of the young adventurous type and no, i'm not just saying that because He was in Duck tales.. but.. honestly you have to watch the movie to see what I mean. Also, you will be pleasantly Surprised of how many callbacks there are to not just The Sonic Franchise, but to many other cultures, Old movies, Comics, even they even show a picture of one of the most popular Sonic Memes of all. (You Know which one i'm talking about) But the voice and memes aren't the only reason to go see the movie. Honestly you will be amazingly surprised by this movies story, plot and characters are great. The Characters never seemed to be dull and one sided... well.. except for one.. The characterization of Sonic is absolutely incredible, as he acts like Sonic should, which is better than quite a few of the newer games. Jim Carry as Dr.Robotnik was absolutely amazing, as while its a bit of a weird change of the games. Jim does an amazing job doing what he does, be a crazed man. If you love 90's Jim Carry, this is your movie. Anyways, Don't Listen to Critics and see this movie for yourself, if you want a callback to a simpler time of Sonic , or just going to see it for memes and irony. I can recommend this movie. -0.1% of a star star cause sonic flosses twice.
