Overall, Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3 is a great movie. I loved it so much, and it has some great songs! I also love the continuing theme of not judging someone before you get to know them, although not being unrealistic about it. While Addison carried on this theme, the other characters, and rightfully so, were apprehensive about the Aliens at first, largely because of the wave of destruction the Aliens caused by landing on the planet.
As for Addison being an Alien, I was happy for her, that she'd finally solved a piece of her life that had bothered her for so long. The only thing that bothered me was how she said "I am... an ALIEN!". I cringe at that part every time, but I digress. She was raised in a town that taught her, 'don't you dare be different' and she had to hide the fact that she was, otherwise she'd be bullied, as shown in the original movie. Of course Addison would be the first one to know what it's like to feel like an outsider, because she never felt a connection to the group she was supposed to be a part of: The Humans. Pun intended, she felt alienated from the start, which would have anyone asking why they're different from their peers. And yes, I was a little critical of Addison feeling so alone when 3 different species all loved her, but it was a question she'd been asking her whole life.
I love the fact that they threw in that A-spen has they/them pronouns, without making it a "look at me I'm inclusive" thing. Yes, LGBTQ+ people should have representation in movies, and it's a great thing that they didn't even bat an eye at it. In a town where a lot of the theme is, 'you aren't allowed to be different,' it's great that being LGBTQ+ is never an issue. From the characters automatically using "they" to describe them, to gender neutral clothing, I was thoroughly impressed. I would've liked to see more relationship building between side love stories, like Bree and Bonzo, Eliza and Wyatt, and A-spen and Willa. I feel that the love story between A-spen and Willa was a bit rushed, and I would've loved to see more, especially since the two other couples had had feelings for each other for longer.
I truly loved this movie, and am so sad that the series is over, but it does feel like the series came to a logical end at this point. If you haven't seen it, I recommend watching it, because overall, it truly is a good movie.
