I love the feeling of the original star wars trilogy (excluding the prequels) and the flow of those movies were really nice and made sense. In The Rise of Skywalker, all of that is lost. There is no neat flow to it, it's all just a rushed scramble to conclude all of the major story arcs of the last 3 movies. There are no pleasant scenes of character building, and no scene is ever truly calm. Since JJ Abrams took charge of directing the movies, the movies don't feel right. They're so confusing and so many things rely on nostalgia to keep viewers on the good side. And this works a lot of the time, because when you bring aspects of something people like (such as the original trilogy) and stick them into something else, it tends to give viewers a more positive outlook on it. In my opinion, all of the events which took place in the final film could have been separated into two different films, with deeper explanations and more meaningful character interactions which last longer than a minute. For the conclusion to such a massive and important movie saga, I find it very disappointing.
