Very unique. The author emphasizes a person's fear, anger, hatred, etc., whichever kind of negative emotion there is in a human and turned into the core or plot of the story. The titan idea is very new and unique. The story is also a fresh breath of air because it does not usually apply the cliches in a typical anime. Plus, characters are amazingly brought to life and by that, I mean that each character, the main, the supporting and side characters are made with detail that every episode, you can feel as if you can feel what they are feeling too.
