Corny dialogue. Bad acting. Unrealistic combat. Not so subtle girl boss trope. This is what happens when you force diversity quotas in film. Hot garbage.

Awful CGI. Incoherent plot. Did not stay true to the original story. Waste of money.

This is the documentary of the year. Very enlightening.

The graphics are solid. Ryan Reynolds is great. Nostalgic throwback soundtrack. The dialogue is poorly written and unrealistic. It’s not-so-subtly full of left wing talking points for example: -1 of the main characters tries to shame the main protagonist, Guy, for repeating a morbid joke. PC culture. -They randomly talk down on “the patriarchy.” Feminism. -Another main character randomly accuses another of “white privilege” as if that’s remotely appropriate. CRT. -A woman is randomly preached to and told she doesn’t need men. Feminism. I don’t mind messages in comedies if they’re well-written. All of these left wing talking points aren’t cleverly written. They’re lazy political afterthoughts tossed randomly into the dialogue to push the left’s agenda. As if normal people in casual conversation unprovoked will randomly preach to each other about PC culture, women independence, the patriarchy & white privilege. Hollywood once again tries to preach left wing talking points during a comedy. It’s just like SNL. Adding irrelevant political jabs into a comedy ruined the humor of the film.

I watched this entire series with my girl. Save your money. The jokes fall flat. It’s vulgar for the sake of being vulgar. The comedy isn’t clever or entertaining at all.

A love letter to the fans. (No Spoilers) If you’re a fan of Mortal Kombat games like myself, I think you’ll genuinely enjoy this movie! However, if you’re squeamish and/or easily offended, don’t waste your time. This movie wasn’t made for you. It’s packed with graphic, epic fight scenes that gamers are going to love. The FX and visuals were stunning. I was pleasantly surprised how funny this film was. It was cheap, crude comedy but they made it work. Overall they stayed true portraying the characters as we know them. This wasn’t a groundbreaking film but as a MK gamer, I found it VERY entertaining. I’d pay to watch it again. If you appreciate badass fight scenes, epic visuals and comedic taunting between characters, I highly recommend this movie.

The visuals were impressive but Brie Larson’s performance and Captain Marvel’s story were lackluster. I rated this with 2 stars because of her bland “acting”, the lack of a character ark and her OP abilities that seem undeserved to the audience. This is coming from a huge fan of the MCU who’s generally easy to please with movies. I’m only writing a review because Brie has publicly blamed men and Hollywood for being sexist due to the film’s relatively mediocre success. I hope the MCU moves on to a better story and gives the spotlight to a better actress.

It’s visually stunning. Some of the performances such as Ridley and Driver were gripping. However, this final movie has confusing and contradictory messages when compared to the previous 2 films of this trilogy. The story is setup more like a video game of quests. It was not a proper thoughtful finale to a beloved, highly anticipated franchise with decades of lore. The reveals in this movie aren’t hinted at in any of the other films. Even what we fans know about The Force was ignored and changed to match the writer’s imagination. The size of Palpatine’s fleet as well as the Rebel fleet are utterly unrealistic(even for a Star Wars film). The time response of the Rebel Fleet is something out of a child’s imagination. It’s like nobody bothered to vet the story. The story seems like it was written in one night by someone who didn’t even like Star Wars. The storyline feels like a rough draft from someone who only read the cliff notes about the previous films. The Rise of Skywalker confirmed rumors that the writers didn’t have a plan for the trilogy. They made up the reveals, messages, & plot twists as they went along and it painfully shows. It took me years to even write a review because of how disappointed I am of this movie. It had so much potential. The writers of this film should feel ashamed.
