The Game of Thrones television series really highlighted the genius within the pages of the books. I've loved everything about the series until now. I remembered crying when the seventh season was over because I wanted more. The excitement I felt for the last season was unlike anything I've felt before but unfortunately, the last season left me disappointed. I see the brilliance behind it but it was too rushed. The actors were absolutely amazing in the way that they brought the characters to life but I personally believe that they, just like us, deserved better. I could imagine the work that the entire cast and crew put into this series but to have ended it like that gives the impression that they only cared about the viewing.
