What an entertaining watch, the character looks extremely naughty and adorable since the beginning, and turning into a crook magician couldn’t make audience dislike him. I’m sure the French version would have few touches of humor but Mr. Scott surely made it interesting and mothoivating for the audience to find out how the story ends..touch of musicals and imaginations never let it get boring..even the most cynical person would appreciate the turning events and their connection through coincidences.. although the issue of refugees could have made it politically incorrect but Mr.Scott’s direction and Romain Puértolas’s original writing let it slide beautifully.. The beginning dialogues were pretty generic but arise the interest of knowing the relationship of the story “why are some people born here and others there? why do some have everything and others nothing? why do some live while others- always the same ones- have the right only to shut up and die?”
I am an avid movie watcher and was pretty skeptical which playing it but it provoked so many good and sad feelings and imaginations that it didn’t let me move for the whole length of the movie.. Hence I give it 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️..!!
