Lucifer has enough goosebump inducing moments... Probably the only movie after Pulimurugan to have come in recent times which had the audience whistling and clapping for the punch dialogues and slick action scenes.
In a sense it is a victory for Prithviraj as the same people who wrote him off as Rajappan in his early years are rooting for him when the director's name appears in the credits.. A low profile introduction scene builds up Lalettan's character and from then on it's a good mix of mass and class.
Lucifer has Prithviraj's vision as you see for the first time in Malayalam cinema a female character burning the funeral pyre. A good mix of character actors heightens the movie. Indrajith, Manju Warrier, Tovino,Saikumar, Shajohn, Baiju all have performed really well.
The main villain Vivek Oberoi performs so well that you forget he is a Punjabi. His dubbing has been top notch by actor Vineet.
Mohanlal speaks through his eyes and gestures which add to the intrigue.
A fine cameo by Prithviraj himself and the twist towards the end of the movie along with a technical brilliance makes Lucifer a very interesting watch...
Go for it if you want to see vintage Mohanlal ..
