This show surprised me with its plot and new take on the turtles we're familiar with. It does start out a bit goofy, but once you're into the season the story and bonds with the characters start to build. Yes, this is different than the turtles we've grown up with but that's just what we needed. The designs are vibrant and fresh and the personalities of various characters keep the show interesting. There are some heartfelt moments that caught me by surprise my first time through, and they're sure to make you tear up if you stay until the end.
Rise is underrated and needs more love.
