Who wrote and/or edited this movie? How is it so highly rated?! Very sad because this cast could have been so delightful together, but it wasn't well written or deep. Very shallow main character with very little to no depth. I went to get popcorn bc I was like something deep is about to happen but then there was only like 10 mins left. lol I would wait til it gets to streaming. I love a good rom com and as much as I wanted to like any of the characters , it was very hard because there just seemed to be no connection. Rent The High Note, it's so much better. SPOILER I wish they could've connected anything. Maybe the Matchmaker took the abuse dating customers case very hard due to past circumstances of growing up poor and that's why poor boyfriend relationship scared her? Rich boyfriend, dunno why he was attracted to her? Maybe it could've had a backstory and his brother betting him if he could land the impossible catch if a taller woman/unicorn matchmaker that would've been out of their realm pre leg breaking? Finally, poor boy. Maybe he could've made his own catering service and became medium to moderately successful? Also, all rom coms they don't always have to end up with each other. Maybe, her emotional support/friendship could have been the nudge he needed to become more of an adult? And she ended up finding her friend the perfect match? I would've adored this much more just showing a past appreciation for one another and growing and moving forward while appreciating a friendship you once shared. But what do I know? But hire me to write your next big budget film, maybe. 🤷😂

Light fluffy of entertainment. It was ok if you turn your brain off for entertainment purposes. I am disappointed about my favorite character Hassan tho. There needed to be a end credits scene. Poor Hassan. He made the movie. Hope the actor gets a lot more gigs from it.

Ugh, I wanted this to go sci Fi so badly. I wanted Mr. Ali to be an Alien and the ending house to be a portal to an alien race that was seeing if we were worthy of saving our human race. This was the family they based their decisions on being she could evaluate human behaviors and what not. 😮‍💨 I need to start writing scripts for Hollywood. I don't think I've ever one starred a Julia Roberts film but this was not a winner in my book. Sorry Julia huge huge fan but I don't know if the story had any rewatching value. Very disappointed. On the other hand I look forward to the cinematographers future work. Amazing camera work!

I would give it zero if I could. SPOILERS. I love a lot of the actors but seriously they must've just needed a paycheck. The plot holes. Where to begin? The fact that Michael Keaton's character has a hit put out on him by his boss he's protecting. Then still he goes on to protect him?! [Confused] 🤔 also, Michael ends up having "cringe sex with Maggie Q's character Anna. Continues to protect said boss after Samuel L blows him up and all the guards that were around for the benefit disappear as he is dropped off in his underground bunker...Why is Michael Keaton still protecting him? He does realize he isn't getting paid anymore right and him and Anna could just disappear and crack more lewd sexual jokes and have cringe sex forever now. Maybe I could've understood it if their was a "bigger boss" that called and was like hey Michael you're getting distracted and if you don't want another hit put out on you, you'd better take care of Anna. But NO. Just pass and watch John Wick. You'll thank me if you do.

Very cute. Predictable but not with charm. A warming Christmas Rom-Com. Definitely Hot Chocolate and fireplace goods.

A few chuckles but I was underwhelmed. For all the great actors that were in it it could have been better. You see all plot points in the first few minutes of the movie if not from the trailer. I just had higher hopes for it. Fell flat IMO.
