I’ve played madden immensely every year since I started in 06 when I was 8. 13 years later I can honestly say the game has been on a downward spiral in the past 4 years. Madden 21 is rock bottom. Wouldn’t recommend buying it if you actually intend to be able to play the game. EA needs to change and make a good football game for the first time in a while. Update: I've been playing this game on and off since it came out and has not improved at all in the slightest. The o-line blocking is trash even when going to the second level they cant even block a corner or smaller safety even if you are lucky enough for them to go into a block, The game does a terrible job at meshing animations together, most of the time it is just random animations tossed together making the gameplay extremely painful to watch. The kicking in the game is also terrible, the kicking mechanic is good at a base but unusable since the kicking bar is not smooth making it nearly impossible to kick it accurately. Another issue is the defensive play mechanics. Multiple times I have called a cover 4 and designated for my defensive backs to play overtop just for the coverage to be blown with a receiver wide open down the field. These are just a couple of the many issues I've encountered with this game I beg people to not to purchase this game and keep their money in their wallet.
