As a Cuban, my opinion is that this film was released in a special moment and has a storyline that can be interpreted as a metaphor. I am sure many Cubans will cry at certain scenes and reflect on their own experiences. However, the movie is corny at times. And the music, which apparently is one of the most acclaimed aspects, does not reflect the essence of Cuban rhythms. The soundtrack is not memorable.
