I know a lot of people are going to be upset about the animation, which is undeserved. The CGI animation was fine, and the backgrounds were exceedingly beautiful. My issue with this movie lies in the ending. It was just such a copout! The plot was so cool and interesting but then they just randomly insert a timeskip and then everything is better? Why couldn't we have seen how they get to that point? The movie could've been so good if the story lasted a bit longer. Not to mention, Earwig learns nothing! She starts off manipulative and bratty and there's a moment where she starts to reflect on that and better herself... and then she doesn't? It ends with her being just as bratty and manipulative. I'm really so disappointed because this story had so much potential and it just got wasted :(
