Everyone will walk away with a different opinion. I think thats what makes it intriguing, after reading these reviews. I was moved by the emotional impact of a man who could never escape his past and therefore couldn’t focus on life (as was well portrayed by SE). I feel this was signified by the pebble in his shoe. Not a cinematic masterpiece, but I don’t think that was the intent of the movie.
