I read this book initially because I wanted to know more about pomegranates. I was expecting mainly the chemical makeup of these succulent orbs but was pleasantly surprised in learning the long history of their historical implications in ancient Greece.
0.8:10 ratio of book words discussing pomegranates: to book words in total, but when they were spoken about, 8/10 for imaginative language and 9/10 for historical clarity.
I am purchasing a few of these books for my AP Bio class for our unit on intricate fruit systems and suggest you do the same.
Cute antidote, the book was published the year of my sister's death and her favorite fruit was a raspberry which shares a similar completion with that of a pomegranate, the subject of this book's cover.
Four stars, lovely read, beautiful font, I believe I purchased the Times New Roman edition.
