The book was amazing This series though, less so They added quite a few things that weren’t in the book. Perhaps as fillers ? Why not just make a few less episodes instead.. The added things didn’t make the story better in any way.. Shame because the book is really good

Personally I much preferred the book. The movie took some creative liberties that I find make for a considerably worse story. Lots of the book was left out, and lots was changed, leading to a much less entertaining result

Great idea but the executions was marred, ruined via the weak, amateur dialogue between characters, and the forced jokes that are just too on the nose The same kind of humour you see in those marvel movies. Basic and missing the mark. This could have been a great movie as the premise was very intriguing.

Great premise, and started off really good too. Then it started cracking.. Lots stopped making sense, became lazy and subpar. Shame, this could have been really good

Season one was art. Amazing. Season 2 was Art with a little bit of commerce. 3 was just commerce and wiedrness Season 4 seems to be on the same sad downhill track. Right on the nose, right out the playbook. An ageing detective but shown with a slightly human angle so we can connect with her. Can see clues no one else sees. Bad parenting but she loves her kid. Doesnt get along with the second main character but doubtlessly they will eventually bond because they are "good people" and they want to solve that case. Also bringing in two female leads to show that you are "woke" (at least so it seems) This is no longer art, it is commerce. Pandering to the masses and adhering by the guidelines of the cancel culture zombies. What happened to these guys?

Really good detective drama Very entertaining, and fairly intelligent Great acting by Del Toro

Rather boring. Production value is not bad though, the filming was done well. The series however is boring apart from that

Nothing really to get me hooked. The main themes in this first episode were what was at best “side themes” in GOT. Therefore, I felt this episode was Fairly unexciting. Nothing to really draw in your excitement and thirst to know more. That being said, they displayed the characters well, provided enough information for the viewer to roughly know where they may be at with each of the main characters. Opened a few potential storylines for the viewers to speculate. Certainly has potential to grab you. Let’s see what the next episodes bring.

This is saddening. I knew it was unlikely to come close to HIMYM, but I expected something along the lines of those intellectual witty conversational jokes, something resembling the competent and humorous acting and the heartfelt, almost genuine relationships they portrayed in the original. I got none of that. From the first scene, I was disappointed. The acting is incredibly forced, as are the jokes. Fake, unfunny, contrived. I wish they’d not tried to relate this to HIMYM, muddying the good name of a truly iconic series. Could they just choose a different name and then go on with their circus production? I don’t know who greenlit this. Unfortunately, a rather poor attempt at keeping some of the original magic alive. Another failure in this age of reboots and sequels.. It’s different writers anyways, if I am not mistaken.
