The fact that Charlize Theron is made into Megan Kelly’s lookalike through makeup and prosthetics, and John Lithgow is rendered completely unrecognizable via makeup as he plays Roger Ailes? Just a sideshow. Much has been made of the time one of the three women at the center of “Bombshell” appeared for work wearing no makeup to press home a point. Fact is, the 3 lead actresses in this film didn’t need elaborate makeup or prosthetics to convince us. They do it the old-fashioned way: through good acting. Ignore the critics. Go see this movie. You’ll be glad you did.
