Went in with light expectations but can’t even watch through the first 4 attempts of the first 15 minutes of the first episode. Couldn’t tell if I was watching a bootleg version of HIMYM or Big Bang. The dynamic mix of characters don’t fit, humor is absent, the background crowd noise and audios does not mix into the humor, and just very very dry. I do agree that you shouldn’t go into other spin-offs with high expectations. But spin-off and sequels can be portrayed as your set of meals, everything has to balance out throughout your choices of dishes or your palate is just going to hate you for it. Sometimes having the dessert first is not the best option. And unfortunately that’s the case for HIMYF. Dessert was too perfect to even go into the main course.
