The movie has a great beginning. The chain of events went as would be expected in post apocalyptic films. The rape scene was very unnecessary in that it was too unreal. The sister who was being raped was loud enough for the younger one to hear and come back. Before the attack she should and could have ran from the attacker. She knew where her sister would be.. between the two of them, they could have fought him off or scared him away. The leaks are something that not everyone knows how to repair. Eventually when the house started getting too destroyed, they should have moved on... what upsets me the MOST is the older sister's hypocrisy! She warned her sister, in a very RUDE and DEMEANING way, that they could not have a baby... yet she HAS to keep the baby. And then she uses the gas to burn the house down when they could have taken it along to trade it for other goods... And the reason for burning The house? "Someone else will move in. Besides we'll never fix The roof" --omg with what supplies and experience? And who would move into a broken down place??? The ending was ridiculous.
