The visuals are so imaginative and wonderful to look at, but the writing and story arc is poor. The lead characters feel unlikeable from the start. By the time the stuffed elephant scene came around, we struggled to continue the game, because it felt impossible to root for May and Cody and we just simply didnt like them. Very difficult to find enjoyment in playing a character you dislike. I'm not sure the game really knew who it was for, as the swing from colourful childlike imagination to bizarre scenes of torture and under under the guise of "black humour" felt destabilising and misplaced. And just made us unhappy really.
