The brilliant acting of Tom Hanks seconded by the tremendous performance of Matthew Rys bring to the screen a person who is hardly believable in today's world. The "goodie-2-shoes" it seems is not really one at all, but instead is a person who put himself into the skin and soul of a little child and accepted his anger, tempers and deficiencies and showed him how to overcome them and turn them into positive emotion, love and caring for every being. The hooked finger symbol says it all.
