My personal favorite of the Pokemon games (sorry gen 3, I'll always love you) from a single player game perspective. Catching Pokemon feels great and seems much more realistic. The new battle system feels better for single player, but I can't imagine any form of competitive working well. Pros - Catching Pokemon - Overworld travel - Actually feel like I want to complete the dex for once - Just satisfying to play Cons - Graphics aren't great, especially at distance. Battle and Pokemon animations are great, but when running around the world it feels like something that should run on a gamecube. - Lots of tutorials to start with. I would advise setting aside at least 2 hours when you start the game so you can get to the fun bits before giving up.
