Just watched this series having recorded it previously. What a load of rubbish! The acting was atrocious, even from those I think of as good actors. The story lines were so disjointed and full of holes. How can you get a dog to eat a watch? How can you nail a table leg to the floor? How can a drunken/drugged policeman save a girl from drowning? The characters were all dislikeable and the two pretend cops just bizarre, and what was the opera scene about? Was it meant to be a comedy, a farce, a drama? Would not recommend. A waste of licence payers' money.
