If I could rate this show lower than 1 star, I WOULD. As someone who studied design, the judges, clearly, do not have an eye for fashion. Some of the desigs that Tan and Alexa called fashion were completely hideous, and not practical. Tan and Alexa were completely biased throughout the entire show... and it showed who their favorites were... not to mention, Alexa just wanted to promote her ugly clothes from her line. However, I was so moved by the speech that Farai gave because minorities' work are often copied... and it's not considered ghetto, until a high-end fashion designer says that it's fashion. I was so proud when Kerby Jean-Raymond stuck to his guns about their street-wear pieces being the most fashio-forward piece... this statement coming from a street-wear designer, who has had his designs copied by high-end designers like Louis Vuitton. Street-wear was born in the hip hop community, not the skate community. Hip hop street-wear has been fashion-forward since the 70s, and became more and more popular with Dapper Dan opening his boutique in 1982, after already styling many many hip hop artists. I'm disgusted at this show for calling trash bags street-wear and fashion... no, that mess belonged in the garbage. I'm disgusted that they were so dead set on sending Farai and Kiki home, that not only did they put a great design in the bottom two, but they chose that ugly lace mess by Angel and Mingu, during the lingerie challenge, which had not structure at the breast-line, and looked frompy, over Farai and Kiki's very sleek design. This made me want to stop watching the show because it was clear who the judges wanted to win!!!
