I loved this movie, even though the critics don't seem to agree with me. I have to admit personal bias here. I served in the United States Marines under this great American. He sent us into the island country of Granada in October of 1983, where we proceeded to "win one for the gipper." We then replaced our brothers in Beirut who had been hit by that massive truck bomb on Oct. 25th, curtesy of Hezballah. Eventually the 1200 Marines of the 22nd MAU were surrounded by the AMAL militia and placed in grave danger, since they numbered about 10,000 men. We were sure that our president would sacrifice us over principle, but he withdrew us instead. We were thankful for the man that let us leave that crazy place and I have loved him ever since. Greatest POTUS of my 60 years.
