Apo No

Was way better than I was expecting, and I legitimately enjoyed it. The critic reviews are silly. Good pacing and cool monster designs and fight scenes. Only major issue is that it's a bit of a cliffhanger, but that's forgivable. Also, was really nice to see such a diverse cast of talented actors. The plight felt authentic, and less campy than most marvel movies, as did the overall tone of the movie. Would definitely watch again.

I really want to like this, as I'm a fan of the series. The effects are great, the voice acting is good and it's an interesting concept. Show started out solid, but the second a male protagonist showed up the lady protagonist instantly got demoted to a whimpering victim and/or blackmailing pawn. Even then, both characters end up feeling flat and one-dimensional. It would be cool if both characters got their own chance to shine, but nah. Guess not. Very disappointed about that.
