Frank Seville

Slightly unwillingly I began to watch this film with my fiance, who had seen it before. I quickly became engrossed in it, mesmerised by the scenery and enjoying the fine performances by Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt and Amr Waked. An offbeat and immensely watchable film

A little slow paced to begin with as the film updated you with Jones's changed circumstances but the pace picked up with clever references to previous Bridgets and even Pride abd Prejudice. There is a memorable tearjerking moment, which is as completely unexpected as it is powerful. If you liked past Bridget Jones you will thoroughly enjoy this one too.

Perhaps the greatest love story ever on film. In black and white but all the better for it. Tremendous performance by Bogart who delivers his lines with panache and subtlety. The stunning Bergman provides a wonderful foil for his talent and delivers a fine performance herself. The lighting and staging are top drawer. The cherries on the cake are two of the finest songs ever in a non musical. If this film doesn't bring a lump to your throat, a tear to your eye and make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck you have no soul.

Drivel. UnUnintelligible plot. Constant background music. Very noisy action sequences tryingto pummel the audience into submission.
