The book is a slog of a read. I have plodded through it during Lockdown. Childish use of names like Crass, Slyme, Sweater, to indicate villains and Mugsborough the name of the town, Pages of diatribe lightened by good descriptive passages of the lives of the worker "slaves". My dad was a painter and decorator so I had to read it though it was preaching to the converted as I am a dyed in the wool Socialist anyway.
