When I first started watching this program, it was totally foreign to me as I am a secular Jewish person, however was pulled in and could not wait for each episode to unfold. I now understand that world a little better, and loved the fact that Yiddish and Hebrew were the languages spoken, both of which I know to different degrees, having grown up with the former and living in Israel learnt the latter. The contradictions that God gives a person a precious gift, like either an artist who sketches, draws and paints so well, but is forbidden to pursue this talent - or someone who has a beautiful voice, yet needs to squelch it, so as not to go beyond the confines of his regimented existence made me sad. l absolutely loved this show as you start to care about the individuals, living their daily regimented lives. Never in a thousand years would l have believed how engaging something like this is. Please give us some more seasons.
