If you are in the hopes that the episode will live up to other interactive story games such as walking dead season 1, detroit become human or doki doki literature club, you will be left bitterly disappointed. The show tried to cover to much in to little time, resulting in a crowding of themes and ideas, and dissapointing reveals. There were some interesting elements however the show was much too short to expand on any emotional attachment to characters or understanding of themes. I was left unaltered with a lack of emotional impact that I have come to expect due to black mirrors incredibly high standard. I would love to give credit for originality, however interactive stories have been done before and been done better. Ultimately the episode itself didn’t know what it wanted to be. Thus I would give a 2/5.
Side note for anyone new to Interactive stories. They are not anything new or revolutionary, and the episode lacked depth and strong thematic drive and direction that other interactive games have done so much better. There was abismal story routes and only a few outcomes. The outcomes where not rewarding nor shocking (as they tend to be in the classic black mirror style) and thus there was no real engangment with the audience. As much as I adore black mirror. This was terrible.
