Seriously I am so fed up with hearing from so called experts on the show, in regards to the aged care sector. When will you put people on the show with real life experience in this sector?? These experts need to put their shoe leather on the ground and experience what is really happening. We train in this sector and we make sure our trainees are properly trained and ready to work in the sector before they go into work placement. Our students don’t go to work placement till they are 120% ready to work from day one!! We have over 95% of our students employed after their 120 hour placement. Why don’t you highlight the good news stories Instead of only the abuse. Yes there is room for improvement, but there are a lot of facilities that are doing a brilliant job with consumers. It’s not all doom and gloom. This is damaging the training of new workers when all that is being reported is the bad side of the industry sector. It is not helping to attract the right people into the health sector as a career path. Feel free to respond and have a meaningful discussion
